Terms of Service

The service

fig2PPT accepts a PNG or JPEG figure image and returns a PowerPoint (.pptx) file in which text, shapes, arrows, and formulas are represented as native editable objects — not as a flat image. Conversion is performed by automated AI pipelines; quality gates exist but results may require manual touch-up. We make no warranty that every conversion will be pixel-perfect or publication-ready without review.

Audience

fig2PPT is designed for researchers and academics who need to re-use or present figures in slide form. It is a conversion tool, not a publication or distribution service. You remain responsible for any downstream use of the converted slides.

Credit model

• –New accounts receive 1 free credit upon registration.
• –Each successful referral grants the referrer +1 credit (credited once the referred user completes their first conversion).
• –Sharing fig2PPT on a verified social channel grants +1 credit (lifetime cap of 1 bonus credit via this mechanism).
• –Each conversion job consumes 1 credit when it starts.
• –If a conversion job fails (as determined by our automated quality checks), the 1 credit is automatically refunded — no action required.
• –Credits do not expire and are non-transferable.

Acceptable use

• –You must own or have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and process any figure you submit.
• –You may not upload figures containing illegal content, personally identifiable information belonging to others without consent, or content that violates third-party intellectual property rights.
• –You may not use the service to circumvent copyright protections or reproduce figures in violation of a publisher's license terms.
• –You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service infrastructure.

Account and data

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Your uploaded figures and generated slides are automatically deleted 24 hours after your first download — see our Privacy Policy for the full data-retention schedule.

Payments and refunds

Credits are purchased through Stripe. Prices are shown at the time of purchase and may change. Purchased credits are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Failed-conversion credit refunds are automatic and are separate from purchase refunds.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that conversion output will meet your specific requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, fig2PPT's total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may modify the service or these terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
